Meet the primates
Like all the other animals here, whatever their age or condition, they have a home for life here at Porfell. Here we currently house four species of Lemurs: black and white ruffed lemurs, black lemurs, ring-tailed lemurs and brown lemurs. Our dedicated animal keepers and volunteers ensure that they have the enrichment and environment they need, so they keep busy. Here you will also find that we are also home to squirrel monkeys, De Brazza's monkeys and the cotton-top tamarin. Make sure you take time to read their stories on how they came to us at Porfell Wildlife Park.
Did you know that the lifespan of lemurs is around 15-35 years and we had the privilege of caring for Laura the Black Lemur. She was the oldest lemur in the world on record, and was only 10 days short of her 37th Birthday before she passed in 2017.

Very nice place to visit with a range of beautiful exotic animals: emu, zebra, lemurs, peacock, meerkat, reptiles, monkeys, parrots, owl and farm animals: chickens, donkey, sheep, ponies. The walk around took us around 2 hours. There is a picnic area too.
